Choosing a fishing guide: who to choose?

A professional guide can make all the difference in enjoying your day out on the water. Although no fishing guide can guarantee what the day will bring, there are a few things you can do to make your time out on the water more successful.

So, why me?

  1. Experience! -Experience is a must when it comes to choosing a guide. At Catch Ya In A Bit Guide Service, I have over 20+ years of experience on Lake Winni. I know the water’s inside and out, and the trends and patterns of the fish during certain times of the year.

  2. Local! -Hiring a local guide is important because they are constantly on the waters you’ll be fishing and have the most up to date knowledge on the bite and what the fish are doing. I live in Gilford, NH and I am usually on the water at least 5 days a week keeping up with the bite.

  3. Passion and Care! -You want a guide who cares about their clients and loves what they do! If there’s two things on Lake Winni I absolutely love, it’s bass fishing in the summer, and ice fishing for trout in the winter. On all my trips, I provide you with the outmost attention and care: setting up your rods, tying on your lure/bait, teaching you casting techniques, teaching you about the lake, teaching you what the fish are doing and what they are looking for, and making sure you are staying comfortable. My mission and outlook as a guide is to provide you with a one of a kind, safe and enjoyable experience; one that you will walk away from knowing more than you did so you can apply it yourself without the help of a guide.
